How do you play Twinkle Twinkle Little Star on a Ukulele for Beginners?

You can play Twinkle Twinkle little star on a ukulele for beginners by following this chord chart and using the following easy chords, C F, G7 and G.

The strumming pattern is very easy for this song, when I play it I just do two downstrokes for each chord.

This is one of my favorite songs to start learning the ukulele for beginners because everyone knows the tune, and you can play it slowly working on practicing the chord changes until its natural.

As a bonus, if you have little kids they’ll love to sing along over and over as you master this song.

What is G7 chord on Ukulele?

The G7 chord is just a slightly different way to play the G chord, and it changes the sound to something totally new and beautiful.

Although it might seem intimdating to learn to play this chord, if you just take note of this chord diagram you’ll be able to start playing it very quickly.

The G7 chord is just a G major chord shape, flipped upside down. You’re still making a triangle shape with your fingers to play the chord, you’re just changing how the triangle lines up on the fretboard.

I like to practice G7 by slowly switching back and forth from the G chord to the G7 chord, and then as you get the fingering down, adding in some other chords like C and F.

One good training chord transition is from F to G7. They sound good together, and the 1st finger stays in the same position for both chords!
